This is a finely made Egyptian buff terra cotta figure of a woman dating to about 300 BC. She is wearing a Greek style hood and the straps from the chiton are evident on her shoulder. It shows distinct Greek and Roman influence with fine features. It was painted originally (with slight remnants visible) and it definitely is a portrait of a specific person and probably made as a memorial at or near his death It is custom mounted and stands 2.8” plus the mount. Condition is as shown. Greek and Roman figures are rare but Egyptian figures are even rarer and the most sought after by collectors. AN2 (3)
