300 YEAR OLD ANTIQUE EUROPEAN POWDER FLASK

This is a continental European, probably German powder flask dating c.1660-1700. That was a time of great conflict on the heels of the English Civil War and leading to the War of Spanish Succession. It is flattened cow horn with a horn spout threaded into the top. The top and bottom are walnut. That form is as used for wheellocks and in fact wheellocks were still made and used in 1700. It is 9” overall.
