This is a German sword for non commissioned officer dating t about 1880-90. It has a 33 1/4” curved single edged blade which is quite long for these. The blade is marked Eickhorn Solingen. Eickhorn company has been making swords since about 1865 and was a major supplier during several wars. The hilt is plated with a celluloid covered grip. Celluloid was first manufactured in 1871.
