This is a mans ring dating to the mid 1800s from the Ottoman Empire which at that time comprised a large part of the Middle east and all the way along the northern Mediterranean up to and including Greece. It is size 9  with a orange stone top mount. The band is made of a silver alloy . Much of the male population of the Ottoman Empire served in the military, mostly cavalry and this is likely the ring of an Ottoman horseman. It is well sized and very suitable for modern wear. ott3
