Pre Columbian Beads
The Pre-Columbian cultures which inhabited Mexico and Central America were consumed by personal adornment. Elaborate feather splays combined with Precolumbian beads made brightly colored dazzling costumes. Unlike other cultures, Pre-Columbian beads were largely hard stone, laboriously fashioned into geometric and anthropomorphic forms. Today, Pre-Columbian beads rank among the finest of ancient beads yet are among the most affordable. As our understanding of Pre-Columbian cultures expands, the value of Pre-Columbian beads is sure to increase.
